Since its inaugural season in 2015, the New York City Football Club (NYCFC) has been proud to partner with Hope & Heroes to help children with cancer and blood disorders who are in treatment at Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
Every home game, NYCFC hosts one of our patients for a fun day of Major League Soccer. Patients and their families & friends are given free tickets and at half-time, the patient is invited onto the field while their story is featured on the Jumbotron.
In addition to providing a memorable experience for patients at their home games, NYCFC supports the entire Hope & Heroes community through their participation in the Annual Hope & Heroes Walk. NYCFC is also a long-standing supporter of our September Initiative in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Every season, Hope & Heroes is recognized as the official Kick Childhood Cancer partner of NYCFC during September.
At every home game, NYCFC shares incredible stories from the Hope & Heroes community. Each one serves as an inspiration and reminds us that on this journey, no one walks alone.
New York City Football Club (NYCFC) is a professional soccer club based in NYC that competes in Major League Soccer (MLS). A member of MLS’s Eastern Conference, NYCFC currently hosts its home games at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.
Our mission is to fund the life-saving work on childhood cancer and blood disorders at Columbia University Irving Medical Center—including cutting-edge research, support for families, and care that always puts children first.
We work with the team at Columbia to create a treatment experience that not only gives patients their best chance to overcome their disease but also allows them to experience as much of their childhoods as possible.
