Ian was diagnosed with rhabolomyosarcoma at the age of 4. He underwent surgery to remove a tumor, followed by 12 months of chemotherapy and 1 month of radiation.
Ten years later, he developed osteosarcoma, a result of the radiation from his first cancer. He endured 7 months of chemo and a surgery that removed his palate and top teeth.
Today, Ian is cancer-free thanks to care he received at Columbia.
